St. Francis of Assisi

This image accompanied an e-birthday card from a friend. As he said, and I agree, it is likely we can all appreciate the words of the Peace Prayer of St. Francis, whether or not we be religious. If you would like to read about the saint, you may do so here. Here is an excerpt from the prayer:
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace:
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
Where there is discord, harmony;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is error, truth;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
Where there is sadness, joy.

Us good Catholics have been singing "Make Me a Channel of Your Peace" for years! :)
